Artists

Maria Helena Viera Da Silva (1908-1992)

The relevance of her works with Jorn Utzon's is to me a similar obsession with horizontal planes. These create an indefinite in-between space which is redundant in Utzon's sketches.

Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978)

The geometrical cuts of Matta-Clark through buildings remind of Utzon's geometrical technique that gave birth to the final shape of the Opera House's shells.
